Online laboratory practices and assessment using training and learning activities as teaching methodologies adapted to remote learning. Student satisfaction and improved academic performance

This article presents new teaching methodologies implemented in subjects the Ground Engineering Area. Specifically, it focuses on a series of activities carried out due to appearance COVID-19 pandemic that resulted restrictions class attendance. The brought about substantial changes way students learn and are assessed. For practice sessions, videos were prepared so could attend take part laboratory practices remotely. As regards final theory exam, comprehensive multiple-choice question bank was made available prior exam consolidate concepts seen master classes, which we call training learning. We evaluated impact these methodologies, during two academic years, through analysis voluntary anonymous student surveys indicators related results exams. After analyzing conclude positive video experience for practices, but only as complementary activity in-person sessions. also stated they would like continue be successive years. Improvements grades exams demonstrate success this methodology.
